This 7-day journey takes you from Kathmandu into the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes of Tibet, combining scenic drives, high-altitude adventure, cultural immersion, and iconic landmarks. The tour includes visits to Kyirung, Tingri, Everest Base Camp (Rongbuk side), Shigatse, Gyantse, and concludes in Lhasa with in-depth sightseeing of the region’s most sacred monasteries and historic sites.

  • Scenic drive to Lhasa via turquoise Yamdrok Lake, Karola & Kambala Passes, and the Brahmaputra River.

  • Two full days in Lhasa, covering Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market, and the great monasteries—Sera and Drepung.

Itinerary

    • Our staff will pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu in the morning and then we will drive along small mountain road to the border at Nepalese side; on the way you can enjoy the waterfall, river, gorges, forest. Finally, we will arrive at Kyirung in Tibet side 
       

    • After Breakfast drive uphill to the height plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing of the roof of the world from where weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt.Xishapangma (8,012m) on the way see to Pikucho lake overnight at Hotel   

    • Drive to Ronbuk and hike and explore around Everest Base Camp Lunch at Everest base camp after Drive to  Drive to Shigatse  
       

    • After Breakfast Morning Sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit Kumbum Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery .Stay Overnight at Hotel.
       

    • After Breakfast full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola(5,010m),Kambala(4,749m),Colorful Yamdrok- Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo).Stay Overnight at Hotel.
       

    • After Breakfast Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar,Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries . Stay Overnight at Hotel
       

    • After Breakfast drive to Gonggar Airport departure flight to Kathmandu or to your onward destination.

  • Is a Tibet Travel Permit required? Who arranges it?

    Yes. A Tibet Travel Permit and EBC permit are mandatory.
    Your tour operator will arrange all necessary permits once your passport scan is submitted.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

    Yes. Personal travel and medical insurance is highly recommended and not included in the tour cost.

  • Is the tour physically demanding?

    The tour involves long drives, high altitude, and a short hike around Rongbuk/Everest Base Camp.
    General fitness is helpful, but no special trekking skills are required.
