Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal
The Langtang Valley Trek is one of Nepal’s most picturesque and culturally rich trekking routes, offering a perfect blend of scenic mountain views, ancient monasteries, and warm Tamang-Tibetan hospitality. Located north of Kathmandu and close to the Tibetan border, the trek takes you through lush forests of rhododendron, bamboo, oak, and pine before opening into a wide glacial valley surrounded by stunning Himalayan peaks.
Although the Langtang region was impacted by the 2015 earthquake, the trails, tea houses, and local communities have been beautifully rebuilt, making it one of Nepal’s most rewarding and accessible trekking destinations today. The trek provides magnificent views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Gangchempo (6,387m), and numerous glaciers.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers, the Langtang Valley Trek offers rich cultural immersion, moderate difficulty trails, and spectacular natural beauty—all within a short drive from Kathmandu.
