After an early breakfast, depart Kathmandu for Pokhara via a comfortable tourist bus. The scenic drive follows winding rivers, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of rural Nepal. You’ll pass through river valleys and rolling landscapes that gradually open up to views of the Annapurna mountain range. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and relax near the serene Phewa Lake. Pokhara’s peaceful atmosphere makes it the ideal gateway city for all treks in the Annapurna region.

Early this morning, take a short but spectacular flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, enjoying incredible aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. From Jomsom (2,713m), begin your trek toward Kagbeni, an ancient village near the gateway to Upper Mustang. The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River through arid landscapes, wind-swept valleys, and dramatic cliffs. Kagbeni is known for its medieval architecture, narrow alleys, and a historic monastery. This moderate trek helps with acclimatization while introducing you to the unique culture of the Mustang region

Today’s trek follows the Kali Gandaki valley back to Jomsom. The trail is relatively easy and mostly flat, passing through open terrain shaped by strong mountain winds. Jomsom is a lively town with modern facilities and serves as the administrative center of the region.
