Your journey begins with a scenic drive north of Kathmandu, gradually climbing out of the valley. On clear days, you can enjoy sweeping views of the Annapurna range, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the Langtang peaks. Passing through Trishuli, the road ascends toward Dhunche, the entry point of Langtang National Park. A final downhill stretch brings you to Syabrubesi for an overnight stay.

Today’s trek starts with a steady uphill climb through terraced fields and oak forests. The trail descends toward the Chilime Valley before crossing a suspension bridge and climbing again toward Tatopani, meaning “hot water” in Nepali. This is one of the most rewarding days of the Tamang Heritage Trek. The trail climbs steadily to the high viewpoint of Nagthali Bhyang, a wide-open ridge offering spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and the Tibetan ranges. After enjoying the panorama, descend through forests to the traditional village of Thuman, known for its Tibetan-influenced culture and warm local interactions.
